Small sized companies- Arcola Theatre
Arcola is one of London's leading of-West End theatres. Locally and internationally engaged and minded. Arcola stages a huge diverse programme of plays, operas and musicals. World-class productions from leading artists appear alongside cutting-edge work from the most exciting emerging companies. Arcola delivers one of London’s most extensive community engagement programmes, creating over 5000 opportunities every year. By providing research and development space to diverse artists, Arcola champions theatre that’s more engaging and representative. Each year Arcola presents 60 events and productions and held of them involve new plays and include new talent from young companies. In 2013/14 a third of the plays were by ethnically diverse artists and two thirds had woman at the helm as writers directors and producers. Every year Arcola theatre provides 28 weeks worth of free rehearsal, showcasing and office space to ethnically diverse characters. Arcola Theatre is run by Arcola Theatre Production Company, a charity registered in England and Wales. Arcola is a founding member of Hackney Theatre Partnership, a member of OffWestEnd.com, and a member of the London Hub of Sustained Theatre which is part of the National Sustained Theatre network. Arcola Theatre supports a wide range of companies and initiatives across London. Not Associate Companies in the traditional sense, these partnerships are with organisations and projects that share Arcola’s passion to increase access to high quality arts. Each partnership is unique.

Mid sized companies- Globe theatre
Founded by the pioneering American actor and director Sam Wanamaker, Shakespeare's Globe is a unique international resource dedicated to the exploration of Shakespeare's work and the playhouse for which he wrote, through the connected means of performance and education. Together, the Globe Theatre, Globe Exhibition & Tour and Globe Education seek to further the experience and international understanding of Shakespeare in performance.
Since the Globe Theatre reconstruction opened for performances in 1997, Shakespeare's Globe has welcomed visitors from all over the world to take part in workshops, lectures and staged readings; to visit the exhibition and tour the Globe Theatre, and to watch productions, ranging from original practices to world premières of new writing and the first play by a woman ever to be performed here. Since the building of the new Sacker Studios, Globe
Education have continued their ever expanding programme of public events, school and university courses and work with the Southwark Community.


Big sized company- Barbican Theatre
The Barbican Theatre is a dynamic charity started in 1980 with young people and the development of creative skills at the heart of all that they do. Their ambition has been to raise the standard of dance and theatre performance being produced by, with and for young people. They seek to challenge what traditional notions of theatre and dance are and liberate the imagination of young people to create fresh and exciting work that comes from new and unusual voices - voices that are often unheard. They challenge our young people to work hard at their craft and develop creative and social skills which enhance their learning, resilience and determination to succeed in whatever career path they choose.
